PS Kimtai meets EBRD Managing Director for Sub-Saharan Africa 

Mining Principal Secretary Harry Kimtai held talks with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Managing Director for Sub Saharan Africa Heike Harmgart who paid him a courtesy visit at the office in Nairobi.

The EBRD Managing Director is leading a delegation of the Bank's Mission to Kenya.

Their meeting focused on the potential areas of investment and support from the Bank upon Kenya joining as a Shareholder.

PS Kimtai highlighted Kenya’s immense potential as a mining powerhouse due to the existence of valuable minerals compounded by excellent logistics and a highly educated and productive workforce.

The Bank reiterated its desire to support a number of initiatives aimed at strengthening the sector’s contribution to the country's economic growth.
